Big Cedar...Part Two

Big Cedar was a great way to spend Thanksgiving! We took lots of walks, let the kids play on the playground, enjoyed some fires, went on a hayride and had smores. We stayed in a cabin with everyone which was great b/c we could put the kids down for naps or bed and still hang out with everyone. One of our favorite things was the hayride. After it was over we stopped by a campfire and had smores. There was a man playing a guitar and singing some songs. Caleb kept telling the man it was his turn to play the guitar! He couldn't understand why the man wasn't sharing! Luckily, the sweet man let Caleb play his guitar for a minute!

Caroline's ready to play!

This bear was hanging in our cabin...a little creepy!

They had this train in the lobby and Caleb loved watching it go by over and over. He kept asking to go back and watch the train!

Big Cedar...Part One

I'm way behind in blogging because we've had a few computer issues! Hopefully they're all fixed and I can catch up!

For Thanksgiving we went with Nana and PawPaw, Amy, Jonathan, Emma, and Maddie to Big Cedar Lodge in MO. Brett and I plus our kids rode with Nana and Pawpaw in their car and Amy and Jonathan and their kids followed along. We left on Monday morning and went to Tulsa and then went the rest of the way on Tuesday. We had all been sick the week/weekend before so I was a little worried but Caleb and Caroline were great little travelers!

As you can see, we were a little crowded! Brett did a great job of getting us all packed in!

Here is one of our many stops...a Sonic lunch!

Our Cowboy and Cowgirl

On Sunday Caleb and Caroline went to Ella's hayride birthday party! They got to dress up in cowboy clothes, go on a hayride, eat some hotdogs and play with their friends. We took a few pictures at home before and after the party. They loved dressing up!

Caleb kept saying "Yee haw"!

Visit to Grandads and Judy's

On Saturday we went to visit Brett's dad and Judy. It was a cold day but we had a good time running around outside, watching football and having some yummy food! Caleb and Caroline were so excited that their cousins were all there too!

Baylor Homecoming

On Saturday we woke up and left Nana and Pawpaw's around 7am for Baylor Homecoming. First we went to the parade. Caleb and Caroline had a blast seeing the floats, the band, the bear, and getting TONS of candy! After the parade we walked around campus and went to the bear pit. Then, we had a delicious lunch b/f heading back home. It was a fun day and we can't wait until next year!

Happy Halloween!

On Friday night we went to Amy, Jonathan, Emma, and Maddie's house. We had a yummy dinner and then got the kids dressed and ready for trick or treating. Caleb and Caroline were giraffe's this year, Emma was Minnie Mouse, and Maddie was Snow White. We only made it to a few houses b/f Caleb and Caroline started getting tired. They had much more fun handing out candy with Nana and Pawpaw. Caroline would give out HUGE handfuls!

Train Ride with Nana

Brett was out of town last week so Caleb, Caroline, and I loaded up and went to spend a few days with Nana and PawPaw. On Thursday, Nana and I took the kids to ride the train. Caleb is really into trains right now so he loved it and Caroline thought it was fun too! My mom and I decided it was the best bargain in town. You get to ride for 40 minutes and they even stop for popcorn and drinks half way-- all for a really cheap price!
