Sprinkles the Puppy

Yesterday Caroline came running out of her classroom so excited that she got to bring home Sprinkles the puppy and keep her until Friday. Caroline keeps telling me that we need to take her on all sort of adventures! So far, Sprinkles has played in the playroom, slept with Caroline, and gone to dance class. And, of course, Caleb can not wait until he gets a week with Sprinkles!

Western Week

Last week Caleb and Caroline had Western Week at school and on Friday they got to dress up. Then, on Saturday Brett and I took them to the stock show and rodeo. We had a great day and enjoyed the petting zoo, the rodeo and of course, all of the junk food! Here are some pictures of the kids before we left for the rodeo. They are saying "Yee Haw" in the second picture and Caroline wanted a picture of her with pink baby in the third picture.

Back home

On the 1st we loaded up (lots of stuff!) and started the long drive back to Colorado. We stopped for the night and then finished driving home the next day. When we got home we had some snow and while Brett and I were unloading the car Caleb and Caroline had fun playing outside.

I think Caleb is sad here b/c he misses his Nana's and Pawpaw! Actually...he's mad b/c Brett threw a snowball at him! :)

While we were happy to be out of the car we were sad the holidays are all over! We had a wonderful time visiting all of our family and can't wait for our next trip to Texas.

Back to Fort Worth

The day after Christmas we went back to FW to spend time with Nana, Pawpaw, Amy, Jonathan, and the cousins! We celebrated Christmas, went to some movies, Brett played golf, we watched some football, and enjoyed some delicious meals! It was so nice to be able to spend a week playing and relaxing with family.

Christmas Afternoon

After we got dressed and we went to Brett's mamaw's house to see his mamaw and his dad. His pawpaw passed away a few weeks ago and his mamaw isn't doing great so we tried to keep the kids quiet and we didn't stay too long. We enjoyed getting to visit with his dad and we were able to spend a little time with Kaitlyn.

After we visited there we went back to Nana T's and had a delicious dinner. We had a great Christmas and enjoyed spending time with our family.

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning we woke up and Santa had come to Nana T's house! All of the kids were so excited and had a blast opening up all of the gifts. Caroline was most excited about Baby All Gone and her American Girl doll. Caleb loved his new Zurg and sword and shield. This year was so fun because they were so excited and had so many questions about Santa!

We had a fun morning being lazy playing with our gifts and enjoying some delicious breakfast!

Christmas Eve

After spending the weekend at Nana and Pawpaws we headed to Nana T's house. We had a great week playing with the cousins...we played outside, ate out, had cupcakes for Jesus's birthday party, watched movies, and did some crafts! On Christmas Eve we spent the day at Gigi and Pops house (Brett's aunt and uncles). The kids loved playing outside on the hay, watching movies, and running around with kids (around 20 kids were there!).

Sweet Samuel

On Friday, December 17th we picked the kids up from school around 3:00 and headed towards Texas. After many stops, movies and snacks we finally arrived at Nana and Pawpaws on Satruday evening! We were so happy to be there and to start celebrating Christmas with our families! That night we went to sleep and around 3:00am my parent's phone rang b/c Amy was in labor! My mom and I hurried over to Amy and Jonathan's house, she stayed there with the 2 sleeping sisters, and I went to the hospital with Amy and Jonathan! A few short hours later at 5:40 am Samuel was born! And, he was absolutely perfect!

Mom brought Emma and Maddie up to the hospital to meet Samuel around 6:30 and then we took the girls back to her house for some breakfast and to play with Caleb and Caroline. Later that afternoon we took everyone else back to the hospital to meet Samuel.

I can't explain how thrilled I was to be there for his sweet birth. I miss him so much already and can't wait to see his sweet face! Here are some pics from the hospital.
