Spring Break, Part 2

After a busy morning at the mall, we all headed back to take a little nap. After naps everyone came over to play outside and then we went to La Hacienda for dinner. After a yummy meal everyone was exhausted from a busy day so we all headed home.

The next day we met for breakfast, went to the park, and then did a little painting at a fun kids pottery place. After lunch we played a little more and then everyone headed home. For some reason I didn't take any pictures on our second day!

We had a great time hanging out with our cousins and we hope to do it again soon!

Spring Break

Last week the kids had spring break so Amy, Emma, Maddie, Nana and PawPaw came over for a couple of days of fun! We started off the first morning at the mall. We did Build A Bear, rode the carousel, went to the train store, and then had lunch at Rainforest Cafe. It was a busy morning but Caleb and Caroline loved it all!

Big kids now...

We recently moved Caleb and Caroline into big girl/boy beds and we moved Caroline into her own room. We were worried about the transition but it has been really smooth. They both love their rooms and beds and are sleeping great! It's hard to believe they are big enough to be out of cribs. I guess our next goal is potty training...which I have to admit I am dreading!

One day at nap Caleb wanted to have his train book in his bed. When we went in to wake him up this is what we it laying on top of him! Here are some pictures of sleep Caleb and Caroline playing peek-a-boo.

Sweet Granny

A few weeks ago my granny passed away. Granny was the kindest person I have ever known. She loved her family so much and it showed--she was a great mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. I have so many fun memories of her that I will always remember. One time she came to stay with me while my parents were out of town. I came home from school and she had made me a HUGE bowl of pudding. I thought it was so cool that she would let me eat the whole thing! :)

We are so sad that granny isn't with us anymore but I know she is in heaven with my papaw and that makes me happy. Here is a picture of granny with Caleb and Caroline at her 90th birthday party in August.

Happy Birthday Brett!

Last weekend was Brett's birthday and we took a little weekend trip to celebrate! On Friday we drove to Nana T's house. That night we went to dinner with everyone and then went back to Gigi and Pops house for cake and ice cream. They had forgotten to get candles so they found some around the house to use so he would have some to blow out! The next day Brett and I went to San Antonio for a couple of nights while Nana T watched the kids. We had a great time sleeping in, eating out, shopping, and going to a movie. On Monday we headed back to Nana T's to pick up Caleb and Caroline and then came back home. It was a fun weekend and we are so thankful so have such wonderful family who love our kids so much!

Here are some pictures of Brett's yummy cake, singing Happy Birthday and blowing out the candles. Caleb and Caroline are very into birthdays right now so they thought it was so fun that daddy was having a birthday!

My neglected child

Poor Hilde is so neglected these days. I really try to love on her and take her for walks but somehow things always get busy and she ends up getting left out. A few weeks ago when we were at Nana and PawPaw's Hilde found a new best friend, Emma. Emma threw the ball for Hilde, loved on her, and even made a little bed for Hilde. I told Emma that I didn't think Hilde would lay there but when I walked in the room this is what I saw!

The Rodeo

I'm so behind in my blogging and I don't even know where to begin to catch up!

A few weekends ago we went with Nana, PawPaw, Amy, Jonathan, Emma, and Maddie to the rodeo. We got there early to walk around the exhibits and see the animals. Caleb and Caroline loved it all and did great during the rodeo! Here are some pictures from our fun day!
