Easter Lunch

After church we went home to get ready for lunch. We had all of Brett's family over for lunch and an Easter egg hunt. The weather wasn't great so we decided to hide the eggs inside which worked perfect! Caleb kept looking through all of his eggs but didn't really like any of the candy so he asked for fruit snacks! Caroline, however, LOVED the candy! She kept sneaking it all day so there is no telling how much sugar she ate yesterday! She's loves sweets kind of like her mommy!

We had a Happy Easter and were so glad to spend the weekend with our sweet families.

 
 
 
 

Easter Morning

On Easter morning we woke up early and went to the early service at church. We attempted to take a couple of family pics before church but they didn't turn out so great! After we got back from church we discovered the Easter Bunny had come! (He knew we would be running late that morning so waited until a little later to come!). Caleb and Caroline were so confused and kept asking where he was! They couldn't understand why he would just leave them a basket full of treats and not stay to play with them!

 
 
 
 

Race for the Cure

On Saturday I ran the Race for the Cure with a couple of friends, Katie and April. The entire way over there we were laughing at how bad we were going to do b/c we really hadn't trained like we had planned.  There were so many people there that it took us 15 minutes to even get to the start line once the race started. We ended up doing okay and we had a great time! Thanks girls for motivating me to run this with you!

Easter Egg Hunt

This weekend we headed over to Nana and Pawpaw's for a Easter egg hunt and lunch with the Easter bunny! This is our third year to go so it's become a tradition! Caleb and Caroline loved the Easter bunny! They couldn't wait to give him a hug. We ate lunch, played some fun games, the kids got their hands painted and then we went outside for the hunt. Right when the hunt started Caroline's basket broke. I would try and help her pick up an egg but she was so mad she kept throwing them down! Luckily, our hero, Daddy, was able to fix it before the race was over and she still got a lot of eggs! After the hunt we went back to Nana and Pawpaw's so the kids could take a nap and the mama's could go get pedicures! It was a fun day and we can't wait until next year!

 
 
 
 

St. Lucia

Brett and I are back from a few days in St.Lucia. It was so beautiful and we had a great time! Every morning we would sleep in, eat breakfast and then either head to the pool or the beach for the entire day! It was wonderful! We did actully get off of our chairs one day and did a little water skiing and sailling. Of course, we could barely walk the next day from the skiing!

Thanks to Nana and Pawpaw for watching Caleb and Caroline! They had a great time and are a little spoiled from all of the fun things they got to do! They went to the museum, the park, the library, toy shopping, and got to spend time with their cousins! What a fun week!

Thomas needs a coat!

Last Saturday we took the kids to see Thomas the Train! Caleb, like most little boys, LOVES trains and especially Thomas! We were bummed though b/c when we woke up that morning it was sooo cold and windy but we still had a fun day. When we were getting dressed to leave that morning I told Caleb it was cold so we were going to have to wear our coats. Caleb told me "We'll have to go to the store and get Thomas a coat". I thought that was so funny that he was worried Thomas would be cold!

We got to ride a bus from the parking lot to Thomas which was a big hit. Once we got there they had coloring stations, train tables, story times, etc. We walked around a little while and then waited in line to board the train. Once we were on they played Thomas music and we were off for our ride! The conductor came around and took our tickets, which the kids loved! After our ride we took a few more pics and then headed back on the bus to our car. We stopped for a yummy Mexican food lunch and then headed home for naps. It was a fun morning and Caleb is already wanting to go back and see Thomas again! Hopefully the next time Thomas is in town it will be a little warmer!

 
 
 
 

Fun with the box!

Brett recently bought a new smoker and of course Caleb and Caroline thought the box that it came in was a blast! They played with it for several days in a row. They would pretend they were riding in a car, pretend to go to sleep, and even have story time in the box! It's the simple things that keep them entertained!
