What we've been up to.....

We've been staying busy around here this summer but I have been horrible about taking pictures! A few weeks ago we stayed a few nights at Nana and Pawpaw's and hung out with our cousins, Emma and Maddie. We went to an IMAX movie, to a music class, out to eat, and to see Up. We had a great time but I have no pictures to show!
We're also still working on the whole potty training thing. Caleb and Caroline are doing good and mommy is trying to not get too frustrated!
Here are some pictures of the things Caleb and Caroline have been enjoying doing around here lately. Caleb loves the Cars movie and is obsessed with all of the characters. His favorite thing to do it play with all of his cars. Caroline is more of the artist and loves to do crafts. And, they have both loved playing in the little pool in the backyard. They think it's so funny to spray each other with the hose!

Happy 4th of July!

On Friday we headed over to spend the weekend with Nana, Pawpaw, Amy, Jonathan, Emma and Maddie. That afternoon the kids played on the slip 'n slide in the backyard and we had some delicious steaks that Pawpaw grilled for us. After the kids were asleep Brett and I and Amy and Jonathan went to see "The Hangover". It was so funny and we had a great time being able to go a movie! On Saturday morning the guys played golf and the girls, plus Caleb, went to a parade in Amy and Jonathan's neighborhood. After the parade we changed clothes and headed to the pool. The kids had a great time splashing around in the pool. After a great lunch by the pool Brett took Caleb into the bigger pool where he jumped off the diving board over and over! He loved every minute of it! That afternoon we all took naps and then headed back home. It was a great 4th!

Swimming Lessons

For the past two weeks Caleb and Caroline have been taking swimming lessons. Last year Caleb screamed the entire first week but this year he loved every minute of lessons! Caroline was a little more cautious but still had fun. They loved blowing bubbles and Caleb had a blast jumping off the diving board. They both had a great time and are already looking forward to next year! Here are some pictures taken on during their last class.

Cute Braids

Caleb and Caroline both got their hair cut this week. After Caroline got her hair cut the lady did braids in Caroline's hair. I was telling Nana all about it and how much Caroline loved it and she insisted I post pictures on the blog! So, here are some pics of my sweet girl with her braids! I need to learn how to do them myself---anyone want to teach me?

Going Away Party

Last weekend we had Uncle Bradley and Aunt Molly, Uncle Tommy and Aunt Tamara and all of the cousins over to grill out and play in the water! They are all moving soon so we wanted to have them over one last time! The kids loved playing in the pool and on the slip 'n slide. Once it was time for dinner, most of the backyard was wet so we let them have a picnic in the living room and put on the Cars movie! We had already moved the rugs (b/c of potty training) so it worked out great! All of the kids were so quiet during dinner and the adults enjoyed a nice dinner and we were actually able to talk to each other!

We are so sad to see our fun aunts, uncles, and cousins move away from us but know that God has great things in store for them! We can't wait to see everyone again soon!

One more picture I forgot to post....

We were driving through town one morning while visting Nana and saw this lovely establishment. Brett and I couldn't stop laughing and had to get a picture of the Hanky Panky Party House!
