End of Season Soccer Party

This morning we had Caleb and Caroline's end of season soccer party. They both had a great time playing soccer and enjoyed spending the morning playing at the park with their team, having snacks, and getting trophies! The coach went around and talked about each of the players and gave them their trophies. The first picture is when the coach is talking to Caroline and you can see the shy look on her face! :)

Fun Weekend with Cousins

A couple of weeks ago Amy, Jonathan, Emma, and Maddie came to visit us. We were so glad to see them!

On Saturday after we picked them up from the airport we hung out around the house watching football, and letting the kids run and play. That night we went out to dinner and then came back and had a fire and smores.

On Sunday after breakfast we all headed out to Estes Park. When we got there it was crowded b/c of an elk festival but we had fun walking around the festival and having lunch and then driving into Rocky Mountain National Park. The kids got a little tired of being in the car but loved seeing all of the animals and especially liked feeding the chipmunks!

On Monday we spent the day at the zoo. I didn't take any pictures at the zoo but hopefully Amy will send me some! Tuesday morning we played around the house before we had to take them back to the airport. We were all sad to see them leave but we can't wait to see them in a couple of weeks! We love you all and are so glad you came to see us!

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo

Since Monday was a holiday we decided to take the kids to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. It was a beautiful day and we had a great time. The zoo is built in the mountains so it has fabulous views and tons of hills! :) They had lots of animals to see, a carousel, pony rides, and some water fountains to run through. It was a fun way to spend the holiday!

Soccer

Caleb and Caroline started playing soccer this fall. They are a little confused about the actual rules of the game but seem to be having a fun time running around the field! Caroline refuses to wear shorts to practice but has given in and wears them to the games. She is also very picky about only playing when the two other girls on the team are on the field too!

First day of Pre-K

Caleb and Caroline started Pre-K at a new school a few weeks ago. Caroline is very excited it's called Pre-K b/c that means it's almost kindergarten! Here are a few pictures from the first day of school. The first two are at our house before we left, then a picture of Caleb and Caroline finding their cubby, and then Caroline waving good-bye to me! They have had a great first couple of weeks and are having fun meeting some new friends.

Frio River

In August we went to the Frio River with Brett's family. We rented a house and enjoyed a few days of playing in the river! Our days consisted of eating breakfast, going to the river, having lunch and a nap, going back to the river, and then eating dinner. Lots of relaxing in the river and lots of eating! Perfect! For the last 2 days some more cousins came down to play which was so much fun! Again, we were having too much fun to take too many pics but here are a few!

Destin

At the beginning of June we went to Destin with my family. We had a fabulous time swimming, hanging out on the beach, eating out, and relaxing! It was a great week! We also celebrated Caleb and Caroline's 4th birthday while we were there. We didn't take many pictures b/c we were too busy having fun but here are a few we took! Apparently we took all of our pictures on 1 day b/c the kids are wearing the same thing in all the pictures! :)
